dude,this would be awesome,if i became my OC.just think of all the emotions you can express just by using your ears!(anthro form,of course.)not to mention,it wouldn't be too bad having fur where i live in the UK.
It may look like it's been painted over, but the only things that were painted on it were the claws. All the rest was shifted using tools of photomanipulation: liquify, recolor, smudge, burn and dodge. So it may be an atypical process of photomanipulation, but it's photomanipulation nonetheless
It depends, really; mostly it's cases where the source pictures are good, but they're not *quite* good enough, so the perspective or lighting shifts between body parts. Or, sometimes the artist (I'm not saying you) aims for a bit more realism than their manual retouching skills can pull off, and that breaks the whole thing.
